Internships

Ohio Right to Life is proud to announce three new opportunities for college students to intern with our organization and support our mission in promoting and defending life across Ohio. These three opportunities exist within the Legislative, External Affairs and Communications departments. Each intern will get an inside look into how Ohio Right to Life works and will also have a chance to use their background and skills to assist on various projects within their specific departments.

Each intern may work up to 20 hours per week, must be enrolled in a college or university and can receive college credit for their work*. Internships will last the length of a semester or quarter (depending on your school) and may be renewed, upon review, at the end of the term. Internships are unpaid, but interns will gain rewarding experience specific to their major, that will encompass more than 50% of their time during the internship. Administrative duties will encompass the remaining amount of the intern's work hours.

Students who are interested in an internship should write a cover letter/email, and submit their resume to the designated point of contact for each position. Specific internship descriptions and application instructions can be found in the links on the left column of this web page. No phone calls, please. Students should also indicate why they are interested in this opportunity, why they make a good candidate and what their prospective start and end dates will be. The specific internship students are applying for should also be indicated in the email’s subject line.

For general questions regarding the Ohio Right to Life internship program, please email eputnam@ohiolife.org.

*College credit will be determined by the intern's specific school based on their requirements. We are happy to fill out any neccessary paper work so an intern can receive college credit, but it is up to the intern to inform us of any school requirements and provide us with the necessary paperwork prior to the internship.
