COLUMBUS, Ohio—Ohio Right to Life Executive Board Member Carrie Snyder condemns Senator Sherrod Browns recent decision to scrub women from a bill focused on pregnancy – a joy that only women can experience. Mrs. Snyder is a loving and devoted mother to six children. She knows the beauty and bravery of carrying a child. Senator Brown’s action to remove ‘women’ and replace it with ‘persons’ is a slap in the face to all mothers and delegitimizes their God-given abilities that separates man from woman.
Carrie Snyder issued the following statement, “Sherrod Brown claims to fight for ‘women’s rights,’ and yet erases biological women from a bill about healthcare during pregnancy. If Brown cared about women, he would not undermine our unique childbearing abilities as our United States Senator.”
