COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio Right to Life and the leadership of the Ohio Pregnancy Coalition Task Force joined a roundtable discussion with Lt. Governor Jon Husted and his wife Tina Husted highlighting the critical work of Ohio’s 123 Pregnancy Centers. During the roundtable, participants addressed life-saving initiatives that help pregnant women as well as the positive results of numerous public investments into these organizations.
“Our Pregnancy Centers provide compassionate, essential and professional care to vulnerable women and their children, said Mike Gonidakis, President of Ohio Right to Life. “Our ability to offer medical services, prenatal and parenting education, and essential items such as diapers, car seats clothing and formula allows our Pregnancy Centers to be on the front lines to serve women in Ohio. We are grateful that Jon and Tina Husted share our same compassion and enthusiasm to support our work to ensure women in Ohio have access to real health care and support,” said Gonidakis.
During the roundtable, Lt. Governor Husted and participants discussed the importance of supporting Pregnancy Cetner initiatives and increasing awareness and opportunities for a statewide partnership.
“The work of pregnancy centers has stood the test of time and are integral to making Ohio the best place to have and raise a child,” said Savannah Marten, Director of Bella Vita Network and the Ohio Coalition of Pregnancy Centers. “We are thankful for Ohio Right to Life and the Husted family for hosting us to strategize how to champion Pregnancy Centers and the mothers and children Ohio’s 123 pregnancy centers serve,” said Marten.
