COLUMBUS, Ohio – Today the Ohio Right to Life Society issued its endorsement for the open United States Senate seat being vacated by pro-life Senator Rob Portman.
The US Senate primary consists of four leading candidates all of which scored 100% on their Ohio Right to Life Survey. During this campaign each of these four candidates have demonstrated tremendous pro-life leadership during their respective outreach at various townhalls, debates and church gatherings. The state of Ohio is fortunate to have four strong pro-life candidates to choose from to serve as our next United States Senator.
Ohio Right to Life is grateful for each candidate’s commitment to Life and statements of support for the unborn if elected. Further, Ohio Right to Life is grateful for all the pro-life advocacy these candidates have demonstrated in the past such as the steadfast pro-life leadership from former State Treasurer Josh Mandel who has never wavered from his passionate advocacy for life.
Many factors were considered when determining which candidate to endorse and a collection of Ohioans from across the state on both our PAC and separately on the Board of Trustees for Ohio Right to Life met and approved a single endorsement for the United States Senate.
The Ohio Right to Life Society endorses JD Vance to serve as the next United States Senator from Ohio.
The following statement may be attributed to Marshal Pitchford, Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Ohio Right to Life Society.
“The Ohio Right to Life Society is proud to offer our full endorsement to Mr. Vance as he navigates these remaining days of the primary. Ohio Right to Life believes that JD Vance is the best candidate to continue the exemplary pro-life service and statesmanship currently demonstrated by Senator Rob Portman. JD Vance is 100% pro-life and we are confident that he will not only advance the cause of life but defend the unborn from Planned Parenthood and their allies in our nation’s capital. JD Vance will be a great US Senator.”
