Free to Live
Dear friend,
Happy Independence Day! Today we celebrate not only freedom- but the price we are willing to pay for it.
Regardless of those who seek to minimize or even erase our heritage as a people committed to seeking out liberty and justice, I believe America’s fight for freedom means something. Just like I believe the sacrifices we make so people can be free mean something.
Dear friend, I know you sacrifice much for being pro-life. Maybe you have lost friends or family over your pro-life beliefs. Maybe you’ve been publicly ridiculed. Maybe you’ve been in danger of losing your job. Truly, only God knows what you have sacrificed to be a voice for the voiceless.
But dear friend- know this. Every time you choose to stand up for life, you follow in the footsteps of every brave American before you who confronted injustice so others could be free. When you peacefully pray on the sidewalk in front of an abortion facility. When you volunteer your time and gifts for your local pregnancy center. When you share pro-life content on social media- regardless of the backlash you may receive- you keep the dream alive.
The dream of an America where everyone, endowed by their Creator with unalienable rights, is respected and protected for what they are: human beings who deserve to live free. Free from discrimination. Free from violence. Free from abortion.
Our country’s struggle for freedom is ongoing. We may be several hundred years removed from the first Independence Day, but the responsibility to ensure that every person has a voice is still before us. Every human, inside the womb and out, has the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. This is the heart of the pro-life movement. This is why we fight for life.
Thank you for being on the right side of history. It is my honor to stand alongside you.
For Life,
