New Team Members Join ORTL

ORTL hires strategic employees to advance aggressive agenda


(COLUMBUS) – Today, Ohio Right to Life announced the hiring of three new team members to its communications department. The newly hired Director of Communications, Emmalee Kalmbach, Digital Media Director, Glenn Winters and Public Relations Manager, Katie McCann have joined ORTL and will focus

on communicating a pro-life message through traditional and new media techniques.  

 

“We have been fortunate enough to receive these brightest and most talented individuals who share the same commitment to protecting the sanctity of human life. Their commitment to the importance of our mission is displayed through their passion and enthusiasm for the pro-life movement,” said ORTL’s Executive Director, John Coats.

 

The new Director of Communications, Emmalee Kalmbach graduated with a degree in Journalism and Public Relations from Bob Jones University and has had a variety of professional experience within the journalism, marketing and public relations fields. Kalmbach will be responsible for overseeing all internal and external communications, media relations and event coordinating.  

 

Glenn Winters, the newly appointed digital media director, recently graduated from The Ohio State University. Winters produces videos for his church as well as promotional videos for various events in central Ohio. Winters’ responsibility at ORTL will include directing and producing multimedia pieces and overseeing graphic design work.

 

ORTL’s new Public Relations Manager, Katie McCann, currently is a senior at Denison University. McCann has enjoyed tutoring elementary school children through Denison’s America Reads program. After completing an internship at the Federal District Court in the Southern District of Ohio, she joined Ohio Right to Life as an intern in June 2012. McCann’s new role will consist of writing and managing social media for ORTL.                                                                            

 

“It is a privilege to work with such a dedicated team and I’m honored to be associated with this prestigious organization,” said Kalmbach. “It’s with great excitement that I look forward to using my experiences to further Ohio Right to Life’s mission and goal —  to protect and defend all stages of life.”
