COLUMBUS, Ohio–This week the Ohio Right to Life Board of Trustees and leadership team conducted a strategy session with Congressman Jim Jordan. During the meeting, Jordan and the Board strategized on how best to continue to promote a culture of life in Ohio through the Ohio Legislature, Congress, and elections.
Congressman Jordan shared with Ohio Right to Life his leadership goals, and his desire to challenge the Washington, D.C. establishment. In so doing, he hopes to protect women and children from the violence of abortion and to prohibit our tax dollars from padding Planned Parenthood’s pockets. Jordan, while discussing frustrations with Congress’s willingness to fund the abortion industry said, “they will always give you a thousand reasons why you can’t do what you know you should do.”
“We are grateful for Congressman Jordan’s time, effort, energy and enthusiasm for the pro-life movement,” said Mike Gonidakis, President of Ohio Right to Life. “The Ohio and national pro-life movement has no better friend and leader than Jim Jordan. We look forward to helping him achieve his leadership goals. In turn, this will enhance the pro-life movement.”
“Congressman Jordan is a principled leader who follows through with what he promises, and we at Ohio Right to Life walked away from our conversation encouraged that we will see Planned Parenthood defunded in the coming year,” said Marshal Pitchford, Chairman of the Ohio Right to Life Board of Trustees. “Congressman Jordan is a tireless champion of the pro-life movement, and has been since he was a state senator in the Ohio General Assembly. We are encouraged to partner with him as we continue to fight for the end of abortion in Ohio and across the United States.”
