GOP to defund Planned Parenthood!
Twenty-seventeen is already off to a promising start: A little bit ago, pro-life Speaker Paul Ryan told reporters at a press conference that the GOP will move to strip Planned Parenthood of taxpayer dollars as part of their efforts to repeal Obamacare.
Not only will pro-life leadership dismantle the disaster that is Obamacare, they will also tackle the mammoth task of de-funding the abortion industry giant of over half a billion taxpayer dollars! Already, the promise of pro-life majorities in Congress and a pro-life Presidency is showing us the positive consequences of voting pro-life up and down the ballot.
For decades, de-funding Planned Parenthood has been practically unimaginable. As Big Abortion consumed more and more taxpayer money over the years, the dream continued to elude the pro-life movement.
But in that same time frame, Planned Parenthood’s grisly abortion practice became increasingly transparent to the American taxpayer. In 2015, the abortion empire’s top directors were caught discussing the sale of aborted babies’ hearts, livers and lungs. For many, this seemed to be the last straw.
As the scandal broke, Ohio Right to Life amplified the statewide charge to de-fund Planned Parenthood here in Ohio. Finally, last February, we achieved our long-sought goal: Governor Kasich signed our bill de-funding Planned Parenthood of over $1 million.
With over $500 million still lining the pockets of the largest abortion outlet in the country, the United States still has a long way to go. Ohio Right to Life is eager to see our pro-life Congress cease business with the abortion industry once and for all!
