Ohio Right to Life and Pro-Family Policy Discussion with Rick Santorum
Yesterday at the Ohio Statehouse, Ohio Right to Life joined Citizens for Community Values and the Ohio Family Network in hosting a legislative briefing on pro-life, pro-family policy with former Senator and presidential candidate Rick Santorum. Ohio Right to Life’s Vice President and Executive Director Stephanie Ranade Krider spoke at the event, highlighting Ohio’s pro-life successes and looking forward towards new policy that will continue to strengthen pro-life protections in our state. Ohio Right to Life is proud to stand alongside CCV and other state leaders to promote pro-life policy in Ohio! You can check out more pictures from the event on our Facebook page.
Proponent Testimony for the Telemedicine Abortion BanÂ
On Wednesday this week, the Senate Health, Human Services and Medicaid Committee heard proponent testimony on Senate Bill 260, the Telemedicine Abortion Ban, sponsored by Senator Steve Huffman. This Ohio Right to Life priority legislation prohibits the use of telemedicine for the purpose of providing abortion-inducing drugs. Opponent testimony is expected to be scheduled for next week. We are excited to continue working with Senator Huffman to get this vital piece of pro-life legislation passed. You can read more about the Telemedicine Abortion Ban here.
National Right to Life, who has testified on behalf of telemedicine abortion ban legislation in Idaho, has an amazing piece of testimony on the life-threatening nature of telemedicine abortions. You can read their testimony here.Â
